The spreadsheet tool occasionally fails to upload titles. This can be for a number of reasons. If you check on your "Upload History" you will be able to see if the spreadsheet uploaded
If the status is "Completed", this means all titles have uploaded without any issues.
If the status is "Completed with warnings" this means some titles have been unable to upload.
If the status is "Failed" this means no titles have uploaded. This is most likely because the format of the spreadsheet has changed in some way - i.e. you may have deleted some columns, or applied filters.
Should the status say "Completed with warnings" or "Failed", please navigate to your messages and then Admin messages and view the message related to your most recent upload. It will tell you in detail, what is wrong with the spreadsheet you attempted to upload.
Common errors
- Have you downloaded the most recent version of the spreadsheet? Make sure you visit the Bulk Upload page and download the most recent spreadsheet from the page
- Have you edited the spreadsheet in any way? Applying any filters, or deleting any columns? If so, remove these changes and preset the spreadsheet.
- Have all the mandatory fields been uploaded? Make sure there is information in column A (ISBN13), column B (Title), and column D (Author/Contributor). If your titles do not have an author (for example, a dictionary), then you can put your Publisher name in this column.
- Make sure the ISBN13 field is formatted as "General" (a gif explaining how to do this is here)
